Biosecurity Property Plans
A Biosecurity Property Plan is an important part of an overall property management plan. It is a plan developed by you with the assistance of Council’s Pest Management Officers for the management of pest plants and animals on your property.
A biosecurity property plan will facilitate the planned and coordinated management of pest plants and pest animals on your property.
The benefits in developing and implementing a Biosecurity property plan are:
- Enables you to prioritise the use of resources to control pests in the most effective manner
- Identifies the best time to control pests and the best methods to use for each situation
- Enables you to access the herbicide subsidy to control some pest plants.
If you are interested in developing a biosecurity property plan for your property, please make a request via Council’s Customer Service Centre. A Pest Management Officer will arrange a suitable time to visit and develop a plan with you.
