Make the Cane Change
The Burdekin’s sugar cane crushing season has commenced. After a late start we are expecting to finish in December and still have a range of agricultural worker and contractor roles available.
Farm hands & agricultural workers (including Permanent, part-time and seasonal) are available with positions for both experienced agricultural workers and those new to the sugar cane industry. Seasonal work is also available for Cane Haulout Operators. These positions require a HR drivers’ licence for trucks or UD licence for cane transporters. Workers must also have the ability to drive different makes and models of trucks both manual and automatic transmissions and tractors also with infield transporters.
The Burdekin is right on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef with great opportunities for living and working in a vibrant, rural community. The Burdekin also offers an affordable cost of living with easy access to Townsville, only 1 hour North.
Positions available have an attractive salary with many opportunities for ongoing employment and career progression.
If you are looking for a ‘cane’ change….we would love to see you in the sugar cane capital of Australia soon.
