These websites are used every day by the staff at the Burdekin Library to recommend books and authors, and inspire everyone to pick up a great read!

For Children
	Kids Book Review is a “voluntary children’s literature and book review site that supports and features authors, illustrators and publishers Australia-wide and internationally”. They have the latest book news, reviews, and sometimes even interviews with celebrated authors and illustrators. Click here to help your child’s imagination soar!

For Adults
	Fantastic Fiction is the perfect website to find information on books and their authors, including new releases and up-and-coming titles. The best feature about Fantastic Fiction is that it shows the authors’ books in their series (in order), so you can always find out which book comes next! Click here to find which book to read next!
	Try Literature-Map to help you find other authors similar to your favourites. Type in a favourite author to see the display of other authors with a similar writing style – the closer their name appears to the author you typed in the more likely you will like their writing. 	Better Reading aims to be a great source of book recommendations for Australian readers and their families. They are all about sharing great stories, and helping people discover new books and authors. They focus on home-grown authors and Australian stories, but also include reviews of books from overseas, plus lists of reader favourites, award winners, and their pick of books that won’t let you down. Check out their weekly Top 10 best-selling Adult Fiction list; their Adult Nonfiction list ; or their Children’s Books list.
	Gnooks is a free service designed to promote reading by providing information about authors similar to those you already love. Type in the names of three favourite authors and the site will suggest similar authors you can like or dislike to Gnooks suggest more authors that will fit your preferences.
	This website is a resource for lovers of mystery, crime, thriller, spy, and suspense books. It lists over 5,100 authors, with chronological lists of their books (over 59,000 titles), both series (6,100+) and non-series. You can search using the alphabetical author and character links or other the special indexes. And it’s perfectly fine for you to print out pages for your private use, especially for a trip to the library.
