Councillor Amanda Hall
Biography
Councillor Amanda Hall is serving her first term as Councillor of Burdekin Shire Council.
Councillor Hall has held various roles over the years, including working for local Member for Burdekin Dale Last MP, the National Australia Bank for 10 years, and more recently Stacey and Stacey Optometrists for 8 years. Amanda has also worked for a State Government Department and currently holds positions on both the LNP Burdekin State Electoral Council as Secretary and Dawson Federal Divisional Council as Vice Chair. Amanda, with her husband Peter, have been running a successful farming enterprise for over 30 years and is well aware of the issues facing the sugar industry as a whole and at a more personal and local level.
Amanda's areas of interests are: ensuring rural areas receive their fair share of services and facilities similiar to the main township areas; building the local economy through development and tourism initiatives; and rectifying the issue of vacant shops that are in disrepear. Amanda aims to ensure equal and effective representation for all areas of the Burdekin Shire.
Amanda is married with four adult children.
