Burdekin Christmas Carols to finish with a bang
Burdekin Shire Council’s 2021 Community Christmas Carols will light up the night with a fireworks spectacular set to wow audiences at the 12 December event.
The fireworks spectacular along with the return of a mega prize draw will both be presented by the event’s major sponsor, Burdekin Local News.
Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said the 2021 Community Christmas Carols were set to be the biggest in the event’s history, but free tickets had to be pre-booked.
“The Burdekin’s 2021 Community Christmas Carols will not only feature all of your favourite festive songs, stallholders and a visit from Santa, but will conclude with a fireworks spectacular in a first for the event,” Cr McLaughlin said.
“While attending the event is free, I want to encourage everyone to pre-book a ticket to ensure all COVID-19 guidelines are met.
“I also want to take this opportunity to thank Burdekin Local News for returning as a sponsor for the second year in a row. Last year’s mega prize draw was extremely well supported so we look forward to its return, as well as the Burdekin Christmas Carols’ first ever fireworks spectacular.”
The 2021 Burdekin Christmas Carols will be held at the Senior Soccer Fields on Beach Road, Ayr from 5:30pm on Sunday 12 December. Tickets can be booked by visiting bit.ly/2021CarolsBDK or scanning the QR code in Council’s Foyer or on social media.
