Works to Refurbish Rotary Toilet Facilities at Plantation Park to Commence this Friday
Burdekin Shire Council is pleased to announce that works will begin this Friday to refurbish the Rotary toilet facilities at Plantation Park near Gudjuda Deck Café.
The refurbishment project will involve a complete internal fit-out and a much-needed rendering and painting of the external surfaces. New security gates will also be installed as part of the project, to enable the facility to be locked after hours.
Mayor Lyn McLaughlin explains that Council is committed to providing clean and inviting facilities to both locals and visitors to the shire.
"We are committed to providing clean and inviting facilities for locals and visitors to the shire. The upgraded facility will not only provide a more pleasant experience for users but will ensure community members and visitors have access to welcoming and hygienic facilities," Cr McLaughlin said.
During the refurbishment period, the toilet facilities at the Plantation Park Tourist Information Centre will be available for patron use. The refurbishment project is expected to take between 6 to 8 weeks, and the facility will be closed during this time.
The project is funded entirely by the Burdekin Shire Council as part of its commitment to providing high-quality facilities to the community. For more information, please contact Council Customer Service on 4783 9800.
