Burdekin Shire Council Enhances Biosecurity Measures with 2020-2025 Plan Update
Burdekin Shire Council is pleased to announce the successful review and update of the Burdekin Shire Biosecurity Plan 2020-2025.
Initially adopted in September 2020, the plan undergoes an annual review to incorporate any legislative or operational changes. This year's review has been particularly significant, with updates made to better align with new Council programs targeting Woody weed and Feral Deer, supported by a dedicated Grant.
The updated plan now clearly outlines the priority species that Council will focus on and details the management options available.
The comprehensive strategy reflects our commitment to safeguarding our community's biosecurity and environmental integrity.
