Council introduces new cemetery management system for enhanced community access and efficiency
Burdekin Shire Council is pleased to announce the launch of a new cemetery management program, OpusXenta.
This new system will significantly improve the way Council manages cemetery records and will enhance the services that are provided to the community.
Mayor Pierina Dalle Cort said the introduction of OpusXenta will streamline Council’s cemetery administration, offering numerous benefits to both staff and community members.
“This upgrade facilitates long-term planning and extends the life of our cemetery facilities,” Cr Dalle Cort said.
“Council’s website now features an enhanced search function that directs users to specific grave locations, making it easier to find precise burial sites.
“Additionally, interactive maps allow users to view detailed cemetery layouts and locate graves directly from their smartphones.
“The new system has also facilitated the renumbering of graves, improving planning and supporting future expansion of the cemeteries.”
The transition to OpusXenta will enable more efficient management and easier access to vital information. For more information phone Council’s Customer Service Centre on (07) 4783 9800 or visit burdekin.qld.gov.au.
