Animal owners urged to keep de-tails updated
Council is encouraging all pet owners to ensure their animals’ details are up-to-date, including changes of address and desexing or microchipping details, ahead of registration renewals in July.
Pet owners are reminded that registration fees are cheaper for pensioners or pets that are desexed or microchipped.
Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Lyn McLaughlin said it was important to keep animals’ addresses up to date and notify Council if a pet passes away.
“I want to encourage everyone to ensure the addresses of their pets are up-to-date to ensure they receive the discount renewal rate available in July.”
If your pet has been microchipped, desexed or moved house in the past 12 months, advise Council by phoning 4783 9800 or visiting Chambers at 145 Young Street.
